Day 16 Update: Injection Day and Contemplations

Today marked the day for my third injection of 0.25 in the trial. The question of whether I'm receiving the actual medication or am part of the control group continues to linger, especially following a night marred by intense hunger. Despite consuming a significant amount before bed in anticipation of fasting, I found myself battling what felt like the most severe hunger I've ever experienced just a few hours later.

The relief of completing the bloodwork and being able to eat again was immense. The injection process itself went smoothly, without any noticeable events. Given the low dosage, I'm coming to terms with the possibility that there might not be any side effects, which has me questioning my group assignment in the trial. Regardless, I'm committed to continuing with the protocol, focusing on reducing my portion sizes and overall calorie intake, aiming for a healthy lifestyle change that persists beyond the trial.

Today's weigh-in showed a slight decrease in weight loss compared to the previous week, with the scale reading 96.6kg (212.5lbs). This represents a loss of 0.5 kilos (1.1 lbs) over the week, a modest but still positive step towards my goal of steady weight loss. It's a reminder to keep focused on the long-term objectives and not get too caught up in weekly fluctuations.

The cold I've been contending with is still present, albeit without worsening, which is a small consolation. It's a balancing act between managing this minor illness and staying committed to the trial and my health goals.

As I navigate these challenges, I'm reminded of the importance of patience and persistence. Whether it's dealing with hunger, health hiccups, or the uncertainty of the trial's effects, the journey is about more than just the immediate outcomes—it's about building sustainable habits and maintaining focus on the overarching goal of improved health and well-being.
