Day 8 Reflections: Steady Progress and a Shift in Routine
Today was largely consistent with the previous days in terms of side effects and appetite – no major changes to report there.
I had an indoor football session that lasted an hour and it turned out quite well. Interestingly, I noticed a change in my performance – I wasn't running as much as usual, but I felt lighter and more agile, which made me feel more dynamic on the field. Overall, I played well, but around the 45-minute mark, I experienced a dip in intensity, possibly due to low blood sugar, a pattern I've observed recently.
There's been a slight adjustment in the trial schedule. My injection day has moved from Tuesdays to Wednesdays, which required me to fast from midnight. Given my increased hunger at night, especially after playing football, I decided to eat as much as I could before the fasting period began. My goal was to avoid struggling to fall asleep or waking up hungry in the middle of the night.
This adjustment in my trial routine and managing my eating schedule around it is part of the learning curve I'm navigating. Balancing the requirements of the trial with my body's responses and maintaining my regular activities continues to be an interesting challenge.
