Day 13 Reflection: Balanced Activities and Mindful Eating
Last night brought another stretch of good sleep, although it was punctuated by an early morning wake-up at 3 AM due to hunger. Responding to this, I had my breakfast—a choice that seems to be becoming a pattern during this trial.
The morning started with a refreshing walk with my dog, setting a positive tone for the day and preparing me for a productive strength session at the gym. The workout was successful; I noticed no significant increase in tiredness or muscle fatigue compared to previous sessions. In fact, I managed to improve my lifting results from the last week, leaving me quite satisfied with my performance.
To complement the weightlifting, I opted for a slow jog on the treadmill, rounding out the day's physical activity nicely.
In terms of diet, today's calorie intake was notably modest, consisting of yogurt in the early hours, sunflower seeds during the football match, and a smaller portion for dinner than what I'd typically consume on a weightlifting day. The contrast between my current eating habits and my usual ones on similar days is striking.
Given the minimal side effects I've experienced, there are moments I question whether I'm actually on the medication. However, days like today, where my appetite is noticeably reduced without effort, remind me of the potential influence of the trial. It's these subtle yet impactful changes that underscore the journey's progress, reinforcing the idea that the medication—or the trial's psychological effects—is indeed making a difference in my relationship with food and exercise.
