Day 2 Diary: A Quiet Day on the Wegovy Trial

Day 2 Diary: A Quiet Day on the Wegovy Trial

Today was relatively unremarkable in the grand scheme of things.

I took a break from my usual exercise routine, allowing my body some rest. Interestingly, the diminished appetite I noted yesterday persisted throughout today as well. It seems to be a consistent experience so far.

However, similar to the previous night, I found myself waking up feeling quite hungry. During these midnight hours, I ended up consuming a considerable amount of food, which isn't uncommon for me.

On a positive note, I haven't experienced any noticeable side effects. I'm aware that other participants have reported issues like sulfur burps or gastrointestinal discomfort, but so far, I've been fortunate to avoid these common side effects mentioned in online forums.

It's still early days in this trial, and I'm keen to observe how my body continues to respond to this regimen, whether it's the actual medication or a placebo.

  1. Experiencing an early reduction in appetite during daytime meals without major side effects like sulfur burps and nausea is a very encouraging start to the trial. Waking up hungry in the middle of the night and snacking can be quite common early on as your body and metabolic signals adapt to shifting calorie intake and delayed gastric emptying. To help prevent those midnight hunger pangs, ensuring you get adequate protein and fiber during your evening meal can keep satiety levels steady overnight.
