Day 58: Milestones and Updates

It's been a while since I've shared an update here, largely because my journey with Wegovy has been cruising along without much change. But today, I've got some exciting news and a few updates I'm eager to share with you all. A Marathon Achievement Let's start with a personal milestone: this Monday, I conquered a full marathon on my treadmill! Achieving this long-term fitness goal was something I had doubts about, but I geared up with a liter of sports drink and a handful of chocolates for energy—a first for me. Inspired by the energy reserves I had post the two-hour half marathon a while back, I embarked on this challenge with a mindset of going as far as I could, harboring a quiet hope of completing the entire marathon. Setting the treadmill to 10.6 km/h with a 1% incline aimed me at a 4-hour marathon pace. Day 43 Update: Progress and Reflections

This week's journey to the clinic for my regular injection and official weigh-in brought with it another milestone: a reduction to 92.8kg/204.6lbs from last week's 93.8kg/206.8lbs. This 1kg/2.2lbs drop is a testament to the continued effectiveness of the treatment, and naturally, it's a development I'm quite pleased with. In an effort to keep up with my active lifestyle, I've encountered a minor setback - a light stress injury in my left foot, likely a repercussion from last week's half marathon. To prevent further aggravation, I've shifted my focus to stationary biking. While not my exercise of choice, it's proven to be a valuable alternative, ensuring I stay active without compromising my recovery. It's reassuring to have a plan B for these kinds of situations.
